Inspired by Souvestre and Allain’s pulp fiction series as well as the films of Louis Feuillade, Fantômas: Revenge of the Image focuses on the emergence of urban terror as an enduring facet of modernity and uncovers the irresistible power of this infamous icon of unbounded criminality.
the audience experiences the work from inside a portable viewing box designed to replicate Edison’s original movie studio which rotated to follow the sun. This vessel is transported throughout the space interacting with performers and excavating the narrative as it moves.
