Spring Storm serves as an origin story for many of Williams’ signature tragic heroines. Set against the backdrop of the post-Depression Mississippi Delta, Spring Storm centers around two women, Heavenly and Hertha. Each woman is faced with her own decision to stay or leave when danger and jealousy begin rearing its evil head.
