Some Place Chronicles
Los Angeles County Arts Commission
A creative placemaking project that features the people, histories and cultures of Athens, East Rancho Dominguez, Florence-Firestone, Lennox and Ladera Heights/View Park/Windsor Hills in the Greater Los Angeles area. 
The Some Place Chronicles is a project of the Los Angeles County Arts Commission in partnership with the Temporary Institute of Unincorporated Studies at the California Institute of the Arts (CalArts), funded by the Office of Los Angeles County Supervisor Mark Ridley-Thomas.

Another Troy, written by John Michael Johnson, and directed by Dan Bonnell is a modern day adaptation of Aeschylus' The Oresteia that focuses on family, sacrifice, and food fights. The narrative spans five years, and follows a contemporary middle class American family’s destructive struggle for balance against the backdrop of an unpopular foreign war.

Another Troy was workshopped at the California Institute of the Arts in 2015.
IamI is a ritualistic catharsis of energies arising from death that follows the characters Iam, a being with a mirror for a face; Aila, a woman who has drowned herself; Jesny, her daughter. They encounter other souls along the way in an attempt to uncover the answers to their immortality after death.

IamI was workshopped at the California Institute of the Arts in 2015.
Dead Awaken is an adaptation of Ibsen’s drama infused with an original concept album composed by Preston Butler III, and Brian Carbine. The ensemble based performance experiments with sound, space, and temporal nature of art making.

Octopus Theatricals, LLC is a company dedicated to producing and consulting in the performing arts.  From experimental to commercial, Octopus collaborates with artists and organizations to foster an expansive range of compelling theatrical works for local, national and international audiences. 

Octopus Theatricals serves as the producer for Christine Jones’ Theatre For One which was recently featured at Signature Theatre featuring new works from playwrights like Bill Irwin, Regina Taylor, David Henry Hwang, and Naomi Wallace in an intimate theatrical setting featuring one audience member and one performer at a time. Octopus also produces Anaïs Mitchell & Rachel Chavkin’s Broadway-bound hit folk rock adaptation of the Orpheus myth, Hadestown. The company’s other past projects include Denis O’Hare’s An Iliad, Songs of Lear from Poland’s Song of the Goat Theatre Company, and Our Secrets from Hungary’s Béla Pintèr & Company, in addition to work with companies like Phantom Limb Company, and The Civilians.
