Salvatore Mannino is a creative producer originally from New Orleans, LA. In addition to producing and developing his independent projects, he currently serves as a producing associate for independent producer, Mara Isaacs, and Octopus Theatricals.

With Octopus, Salvatore has worked on Anaïs Mitchell & Rachel Chavkin’s Broadway-bound hit folk-rock adaptation of the Orpheus myth, Hadestown, and Christine Jones’ Theatre For One which was recently presented at Signature Theatre, and featured new works from playwrights like Bill Irwin, David Henry Hwang, and Naomi Wallace in an intimate setting featuring one audience member and one performer at a time. Salvatore has also assisted companies like The Civilians and Phantom Limb Company, as well as coordinated international tour details for Poland’s Song of the Goat Theatre, and Hungary’s Béla Pintèr & Company.

Prior to working with Octopus, Salvatore served as a producing associate with CalArts Center for New Performance. With CNP, he developed programming for new student work initiatives, and serves as the associate producer for Fantomas: Revenge of the Image, which will have its world premiere at the 2017 Wuhzen Theatre Festival.

In New York, Salvatore founded the Rebirth Theatre Company in 2011, where he produced a series of developmental workshops, concerts, and readings. He also worked on new works with companies such as Theatre for the New City, Workshop Theatre Company, and the Algonquin Theater Company. Mannino has also collaborated with INTAR Theatre's HPRL Program, and trained with Anne Bogart and the SITI Company, in addition to working regionally in states like California, New Hampshire, Wisconsin, Florida, and Louisiana.

His writing credits include self-produced workshops of (untitled entry) in 2017, and Seventy-Two Percent in 2016. (untitled entry) was a 2015 finalist for the Sundance Theater-Makers Residency, and his play, Paper Airplanes, was selected and produced as part of the Old Marquer Theater’s 2015 Page to Stage New Play Festival. In 2013, Salvatore collaborated with Artist, Inc. writing a section for the ambulatory performance, Unroute, for the 2013 New Orleans Fringe Festival.

Salvatore holds his MFA in Creative Producing from the California Institute of the Arts, and is a magna cum laude graduate of the University of Southern Mississippi. He is a proud member of Actors' Equity Association, The Dramatist's Guild of America, and The Playwrights’ Center.
